Loji & Tanja hönnuðu landsliðsbúninga fyrir íslenska landsliðið í íþróttum og listum árið 2017. Búningarnir voru innblásnir af íslenskum hversdagslegu myndefni. Þau eiga það sameiginlegt að hafa æft íþróttir, starfað í skapandi greinum og unnið með textíl.
Orðin listir og íþróttir hafa ýmsar merkingar. Í íslensku orðabókinni má finna skilgreiningu á orðinu “íþróttir” sem ‘leikni eða kunnátta í einhverju sem maður hefur tileinkað sér, list eða athöfn sem krefst slíks’.
Hvers vegna er svo mikil gjá á milli þessara íþrótta og lista? Erum við ekki í sama liði? Megin markmið verkefnisins var að sameina listir og íþróttir og brúa bilið. ÁFRAM LISTIR OG ÍÞRÓTTIR, UPP MEÐ SOKKANA!

Loji & Tanja designed hypothetical Icelandic national team of sports and arts in 2017. The collection is inspired by Icelandic imagery and mundanity. They both have backgrounds in sports, in the creative field and work with textiles.
The words sports and art have several definitions. In the Icelandic dictionary you can see that the definition of "sports" is facility, dexterity, genius or art. The Cultural fund's dictionary defines art as "the sport of making something beautiful or remarkable.
Why is there such gap between those two fields, sports and the arts? Aren't we on the same team? The main goal of the project is to unite sports and the arts and bridge the gap between these two categories. GO TEAM SPORTS & THE ARTS, PULL UP YOUR SOCKS!
Pull up your socks received the Grapevine design awards in 2018 in catagory “Looking forward to”.
